Forest Schooling

27th April 2018
During the Summer Term, the next phase of
development is to expand the Shanklea school
curriculum using our “forest” and forest schooling.
Thus far, our youngest children have created art work
from natural materials, cleared the forest and set up shelters. Over
time, we will learn how to work with tools and fire safely, make
charcoal, heat water using a Kelly kettle, make scones, toast
marshmallows and cook pizza.
Exciting and inspiring times are ahead with the children working
together to learn a range of fantastic new life skills!
