Harvest Donations

29th September 2017
I am sure you will understand that for Health and Safety reasons we will have to limit the amount of parents/carers who can attend these Harvest Celebrations. To accommodate all those who may wish to attend please only attend the assembly relevant to your child’s year group.
The children really enjoy collecting tins or packets of food to share out to people in the local community. I would be very grateful if each child could bring in tins or packets of food (within the best before date) to school by Thursday 5 th October 2017 at the latest in order for a display to be prepared for the assembly. Unfortunately we are unable to receive fresh produce.
We are inviting nominations of people within our community who would be grateful for the gift of a small food package. This could be an elderly person, a friend or even a neighbour. After the assemblies have taken place, food donations will be bagged and sent home with children to give to their nominated person. We feel this will help the school to strengthen its links with the local community. If your child would like to nominate a person please complete the form, on the reverse of this newsletter giving their reasons why they have nominated this person. I am sure the assembly will be fantastic and we look forward to seeing you there. Once again many thanks for your support.
