World Book Day 2022

11th February 2022
World Book Day celebrates its 25th anniversary on Thursday 3rd March 2022.
This year, we would like to do things a little differently and give children a new creative challenge. Rather than coming to school dressed as a character from a book, we would like to invite the children to dress/decorate a potato as their favourite character. Not only does this offer the children something new, but will hopefully save the cost and potential environmental impact of purchasing a costume. Children should come to school in their uniforms.
It would be lovely (but not essential) if they could bring a copy of the book with them so they can share it with their class.
To help the children on their reading journey, every child will receive a £1 World Book Day Book Token that can either be exchanged for one of TEN special £1 World Book Day books or used to get £1 off any book costing £2.99 or more. You can find out more at worldbookday.com/books.
World Book Day Tokens can be used towards orders online from Scholastic. Children will bring home Scholastic leaflets shortly.
